People don’t pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the new wine will make the skins burst. The wine will run out, and the skins will be ruined. Rather, new wine is to be poured into fresh skins. Luke 5:37-38 (GW)
Someone defined insanity as "doing the same thing and expecting a different result"

At one time all the people of the world spoke the same language
and used the same words. As the people migrated to the east,
they found a plain in the land of Babylonia and settled there.
They began saying to each other, “Let’s make bricks and harden
them with fire.” (In this region bricks were used instead of stone,
and tar was used for mortar.) Then they said,
“Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky.
This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”
But the LORD came down to look at the city and the tower the people were building.
“Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!
Come, let’s go down and confuse the people with different languages.
Then they won’t be able to understand each other.”
In that way, the LORD scattered them all over the world,
and they stopped building the city. That is why the city was called Babel,
because that is where the LORD confused the people with different languages.
In this way he scattered them all over the world.
Genesis 11:1-9 (NLT)
Last year 2010 is gone. Whatever you did right or wrong does not matter anymore except to learn from past mistakes. We are in the wake of 2011 when we still have the opportunity to define what we want to see in this virgin year.
My last article was written in March 2010 on Control-Alt-Delete Yourself which simply means to re-boot yourself. And that was what I did personally and I can humbly say God has brought me forth as gold. Over the last 9 months, I have entered into strange realms of favour and lifting, I concluded my Masters degree with 1st class and many other things that I may not be able to share here, to God be the glory. I can tell you I have indeed seen God. And I believe you have experienced God’s goodness in your life too.
However, I am convinced that whatever we saw last year cannot be compared to what God is set to do in the New Year 2011. Why? Proverbs 4: 18 says God causes our path to shine brighter and brighter... He does not lead backward but forward.
What is God saying to all who will care to listen to what the Spirit is saying in 2011? The story in the above scripture is not new but God seems to be pointing out some principles from the story.
DEFINE IT
I noticed the first thing this group of people decided to do in Genesis 11 was to define their purpose without mincing words. , “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky. This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”
This is the first step to fulfilment of your 2011 goals. State it. What do you want to achieve in 2011? Please write them down.
IMAGINE IT
They did not just define their goal but envisioned it. They have a picture of it in their mind and how they intend to go about achieving it. What do you want to achieve. How do you want to achieve it. Can you see yourself already fulfilling it? And guess what? You are free to imagine anything.. As far as your eyes can see.
What the mind can conceive, the hand can achieve.
START IT
It does not matter what you define or imagine, without taking the first step, you cannot achieve it. While this looks simple, the reason why many people are yet to change level is just because they have found every reason not to start the business, the professional exams, the relationship, the degree or vocation. However, it is that same reason that others have found to dare the impossible. JUST DO IT. God confirmed about these people in the scripture above that nothing they SET OUT to do will be impossible for them. What are you set out to do in 2011.
Friends, 2011 is still fresh. It only going to take whatever form you want it to take. The world is waiting.
Make a decision;
To work according to God’s will. Don’t labour in vain in 2011. The only reason why those who built the tower did not achieve their goal was because they were pursuing a goal against God’s will. God’s will was for human to fill the earth but they wanted to stay in one place.
To work with people of like minds. Don’t waste your time hanging around those going nowhere. Dissociate yourself quickly with those going nowhere in 2011. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! Move with those who understand your language (your idea, your dream, your vision)
To work out your dream. Stop day dreaming. Work, work and work in 2011. Nothing works until you work it. God does not reward laziness. Get out to the field of 2011 and you will reap bountiful harvest.
Define it, imagine it and start it NOW!!!
Happy New Year
Shall we pray
Lord, help us to give our 2011 goals the required push for its fulfilment. Amen.

10 Commandments of Living in Recession Pt.2
Friday, May 15, 2009
#1 FEAR NOT
#2 BORROW NOT
#3 BE LED BY THE SPIRIT FOR ALL DECISIONS
#4 BE HOPEFUL
#5 BE MORE COMMITTED IN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
This simply means promoting the course of God’s kingdom through your giving. It is true that there is recession but that should NOT stop our tithing, for instance. A tithe is ten percent of your income given to God, acknowledging Him as your source. Please note that, in spite of the famine, Elijah told the woman to give him food first before considering her son and even herself. This ordinarily may look mean but that’s the way to keep the flow of blessing. Seek first the kingdom of God. Invest in any course to promote the gospel even at this time and you’ll flourish even in recession. Remember, Christ says we should lay up treasure for ourselves in heaven. It works!
To be creative means to be innovative or to be able to seek ways of solving old problems with new approaches. Crises usually make people more creative. When old ways are still working well, then people may fold their hands, but when they cease to work, then people look for improvement or better ways of meeting their needs. Have you lost your job due to recession? Look within for what you can do for yourself. Most of today’s invention came when people looked within and have a strong desire to solve problems. To me this means there are untapped solutions within us if we can only search with. Try out something new and different from the norm. It’s in you!
Remember, necessity is the mother of invention
A vision is having a PICTURE of your FUTURE through the SCRIPTURE. To be visionary means to be able to see yourself from God’s perspective through His word and consciously taking calculative steps towards living in the reality of the future He has for you. He asks Jeremiah when He called him, WHAT DO YOU SEE? God will only bring to pass what we can see. For Abraham, God told him, as far as your eyes can see- this is about vision. But for vision to be meaningful, you must first discover your purpose (your God-given assignment and your very reason for living). Then, catching the glimpse of it in light with the Word of God (that is what is called Vision). You need to see beyond the recession to live above it. What can you see? Don’t be caught suffering from HIV- Having Insufficient Vision.
What You See is What You Get (WYSIWG)
It is an obvious fact that above every other thing, one thing to do now is to spend wisely. To be prudent means to have a good sense in dealing with practical matters or to be careful in managing resources so as to provide for the future. This is not best of time to spend on impulse or buy what you want especially at the expense of needs. Needs like food, clothing, shelter and other immediate family needs are to be given full preference above any other thing. But this will also be no excuse not to save. One of my mentors said not matter what you earn save at least 20% of it. It might be hard but it is possible. You can live on the remaining 70% (after 20% savings and 10% tithe). What I do personally is to assume as if my original earning is the 70%.
It is not SAFE not to SAVE!
Thanksgiving is not an option for believers, it is a commandment. God word says “Oh, Give Thanks to the Lord for He is good and His mercies endures forever.” Thanksgiving can be pre or post. Pre is giving of thanks before God does what you’ve asked for. This is also called Sacrifice of Praise. It is a sacrifice because it will cost you to give up your concerns to do it. There’s nothing visibly present to show but you still choose to give thanks. It may be easy to give thanks when our promises are delivered (which is the Post). But God wants us to offer the sacrifice of praise with our lips. Always praise Him whether things are working or not.
And we know that all things are FITTING TO PLAN for them that love God and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8: 28(AMP)

10 Commandments of Living in Recession
Friday, April 24, 2009

Then the Lord said to Elijah, “Go and live in the village of Zarephath, near the city of Sidon. There is a widow there who will feed you. I have given her my instructions.”
1 Kings 17: 8 -9(NLT)
The word “recession” is no longer news to the world as over 60% of all news in the media today can be directly or indirectly linked to it and its companions like downturn, slump, depression, downsizing, meltdown and the crunch. Irrespective of the name it is called, all these are not new because the world from B.C to A.D had experienced similar crisis situations and have overcome. So the first good news is that, it will not last forever. As a matter of fact some have predicted that it will last for the next seven years (I pray it will be lesser).
However, my greatest assurance is that God has never left His children in a dilemma without showing them a way out. For example, when there was a famine in Israel, He made provision for His prophet, Elijah, to be fed by the most unconventional way- through a widow. Ordinarily, a widow is the one to be helped in such a situation but she now became a distributor even in recession. Watch out for God’s unconventional leading at this time for your lifting.
Waking up this morning, God began to inspire me on what I have coined to be the 10 Commandments of living in recession. Please Note: Some of these things may not make common sense (as I was also tempted to ask questions as He told me). But I quickly remembered the words of Jesus’ mother at the crisis situation in a wedding where wine got finished suddenly at the middle of the party. She said “Whatever He tells you to do, do it”. Whatever?
1. Fear Not
The opposite of fear is faith. You cannot have faith and fear at the same time, you are either afraid or full of fear. Fear and faith have different sources. Fear is from the devil, faith is from God. Fear makes you do stupid things. During Paul’s journey to Rome, and their ship had crisis, the sailors in fear threw away all the ship equipments. Acts 27:19. Fear can make you sell shares you bought for 50 naira per unit for just 50 kobo per unit. But do you know 90% of our fears never happen. Don’t let the devil infect you with the venom of fear. Let me hear you say, Fear Not!
2. Borrow Not
Those who borrowed funds to obtain shares from the Stock market are now not only unable to pay back the principal after losing over 85% of their investment but battling with the mounting interest from the borrowed funds. See what God told His people repeatedly from His word; The Lord your God will bless you as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations but will never need to borrow! You will rule many nations, but they will not rule over you! Deuteronomy 15:6 (NLT)
The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens to bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them. Deuteronomy 28:12 (NLT)
I know God does not stammer, He repeated it twice here. By all means, please avoid borrowing because He says you will never need it. Trust Him!
3. Be led by the Spirit of God for all decisions
When all known financial recovery theories have failed from Harvard Business School to Lagos Business School and stock market stimulus plans (if any) are unyielding from the Wall Street in US to the Broad Street in Lagos, it is only safe to be led by the Spirit of God before making decisions. God still leads those who care to listen for His voice. Yes, listening for His voice would require you to turn off the TV and settle down the bible in a conscious Word study, you will be amazed what He has to tell you. When God leads, He leads forward and He never tells you to do anything against His word. Note: It is for all decisions ranging from where to live, who to marry, business to venture in, when to buy or sell anything. Remember it was God who led Elijah to Zarephath. Abraham to Egypt and it was still the same God who told Isaac to stay where he was. God still leads!
4. Be Hopeful
Being hopeful in times of recession could be one of the most unreasonable things to do. But hope is what makes our heart to keep beating- It is called the anchor of our soul or what our soul hinges on. You remember Abraham who when he did not have any reason to hope to have a child again after almost 100 years of age but still embraced Isaac at 100years and the wife 90years. And if that sounds archaic, remember Hopeful Barrack Obama who when everything from his colour to experience seems to disqualify him for US presidency but hope made him to become the first black man to head the white house. Be optimist about your life, relationship, family, job, academics no matter the crisis. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel. There’s hope for you!
5. Be more committed in your relationships
You will agree with me that we all find ourselves wearing many shoes at the same time. You can be a boss, husband, friend, mentor, coach, son or lover all at the same time. The time of crisis is a time to be closer first to God because your relationship with Him sets precedence for how you relate with others. Secondly, be more committed to members of your immediate family- your wife, husband, and children. Remember, these are the people who will be there always. Show them how much you care. Then this will definitely extend to colleagues, friends, brethren and others. Make sure you invest time and resources into people even at this time. The greatest investment is to add value to others- that is what you will be remembered for.
Let us pray: Lord, I trust in you to see me through this time of recession and cause me to be made manifest to my world even at time. Amen
Watch out for the last 5 commandments.

The Cost of Right!
Thursday, April 23, 2009

I have always wondered how much was worth paying for quality service or to get the best of service. How much would be considered too expensive to give out just to get the best out of a project or task that you are working on?
David was unarguably a great king. So celebrated that over a decade ago Israel had 3,000 years anniversary of when David founded the City of David. But check out what his eulogy (a note after someone’s death) read;
Did you notice the last phrase that started with the word “except”? What would have made the journey of your life so great and memorable, except? What did David do? He took the wife of Uriah, his subordinate and organised for the man’s death.
But the good news is that, Jesus has paid the greatest price to make us right with God by giving up Himself for what we did wrong. All we need do is as simple as ABC;
A- Accept Jesus into our lives;
B- Believe that He died for your sins;
C- Confess your sins to Him and confess Him as the Lord of your life.
How to get the Job!
Thursday, March 26, 2009
But will it shock you to know that the word was never used in the entire bible (the King James Version) except as the name of a man. Does it mean God is not interest in us to be gainfully employed? Of course, He does! This post is dedicated to those who are believing God for gainful employment and I share with you the things that I practised immediately after my NYSC which God used to bless me with a choice job stress-free, connection free and highly fulfilling- allowing me to practise my profession as a Chartered Accountant! To God alone be the glory.
When purpose is not defined, abuse is inevitable
Your bible is a treasure pot and a bank containing precious promises your heavenly father has bequeath you but will never be your till you search it out. Don’t just keep your bible under your pillow for protection, it protects only when you know what it says about your protection.
I searched for over 15 scriptural promises on work. I discovered that man had a work to do before and after the fall in the garden of Eden and God himself works without sleeping. Jesus worked all day and prayed at night. I meditated and digested it and in lesser than 1 week after NYSC, I got my job. You too can. They are;
Genesis 2: 2: On the seventh day, having finished his task, God rested from all his work.
Genesis 2: 5:
Genesis 2: 15:
Genesis 3: 23:
Psalms 1: 1- 3:
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with scoffers.
But they delight in doing everything the Lord wants;
day and night they think about his law.
They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season without fail.
Their leaves never wither,
and in all they do, they prosper
Psalms 128 1-2:
all who follow his ways!
You will enjoy the fruit of your labor.
How happy you will be! How rich your life!
Pray these prayer for anyone you know who is seeking for a good
Prayer Points;
1.Lord, you gave the first man (Adam) work to do when you made him, I am willing and able to work, bless me with a good job in Jesus name.
2.In Psalms 1, you said, whatever I do shall prosper, use the channel of a good job to prosper me this year in Jesus name.
3.I will eat the fruit of my labor in Jesus name.

When you don’t know what to do!
Sunday, March 22, 2009
“And now see what the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir are doing. You would not let our ancestors invade those nations when Israel left Egypt, so they went around them and did not destroy them. Now see how they reward us! For they have come to throw us out of your land, which you gave us as an inheritance. O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.”
2 Chronicles 20:1-4, 10-12 (NLT)
I have got some good news from the Lord for you that THERE IS STILL AWAY OUT!
The scripture above tells the story of a similar condition to what the world is facing at the moment. Three great nations, densely populated and with highly sophisticated army came to war with tiny Judah! It was obvious that these nations had all it takes to wipe out Judah. But could you believe that God still fathomed a way out to help Judah to overcome this battle? That’s why I am very convinced that “no matter the matter” that you are faced with, there is always a way out! Your own armies may be JOBLESSNESS, RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS AND POVERTY and like Jehoshaphat, you don’t seem to know what to do and you are almost throwing in the towel. Here is what to do when you don’t know what to do! They are things that look too simple to be true but you know the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisest of men’s idea.
What to do:
Encourage yourself
Does that shock you? Well, it is the first thing you need to do to be free from those hydra-headed circumstances steering at you in the face. Most people continue to be depressed just because they are looking for others to pity them or say some sweet words and if they don’t get it, they carry long faces or break down in tears.
David’s wives, children and all he had laboured for many years to amass was stolen in one day. Being the leader of the people, they were looking up to him to do something and they even wanted to stolen him. Could you believe that! They were even considering that he also lost great possession. But even in that deplorable state, David encouraged himself in the Lord! 1Sanmuel 30: 6
Those who wait for others’ PITY end up in the PIT
Anytime we consider other alternatives apart from God, God backs off. He doesn’t like to share His glory with others. God takes pride in doing it all by himself because He is the All-Powerful God. Depending totally on God is to vow not to go to other gods for help. God can help you all by Himself. Don’t try to help God.
Until you totally depend on Him like we said, you may not likely be able to praise God in the midst of your situation.
When we pray, God sends angels, When we praise God comes himself.
The bible says He inhabits the praises of His people. He told Jehoshaphat to appoint singers to go in front of them to battle. That sounds ridiculous! Sending singers to come face to face with dangerous, chariots, arrows and spears. But that was it, when they began to sing and praise, God made the enemies to help destroy themselves till none was left..No wonder the bible says He does fearful things in praise. Praising God when things are not working is the highest form of praise- it is a sacrifice of praise. Let nothing tamper with your joy.... He will see you through this times. He is the God of the mountain and the valley, God of the good times and the bad, turning negative situations around.
It does work, it is working for me and it will work for you!

MOVE ON with your Life!
Thursday, March 19, 2009
He reopened the wells his father had dug, which the Philistines had filled in after Abraham’s death.
Isaac renamed them, using the names Abraham had given them.
His shepherds also dug in the Gerar Valley and found a gushing spring.
But then the local shepherds came and claimed the spring. “This is our water,” they said, and they argued over it with Isaac’s herdsmen. So Isaac named the well “Argument,” because they had argued about it with him.
Isaac’s men then dug another well, but again there was a fight over it. So Isaac named it “Opposition.”
Abandoning that one, he dug another well, and the local people finally left him alone. So Isaac called it “Room Enough,” for he said, “At last the Lord has made room for us, and we will be able to thrive.”
Genesis 26:17 – 22 (NLT)
Does that phrase sound familiar? Well, whether or not it does, God’s message for the hour to you is to MOVE ON with your life in spite of your limitations. We all are faced with situations where the “seemingly” best option for us is to screw up or just surrender. But the difference between the extra-ordinary and the ordinary people is the “extra” effort, “extra” trial, “extra” attempt or “extra” sacrifice that ordinary people put in.
The scripture above tells the story of the Abraham’s son of promise, Isaac. Abraham had believed God to have Isaac for some 25years before the promise came. But do you know that the fact that Isaac was a son of promise did not exempt him from facing oppositions and obstacles. Similarly, the fact that God has told you many great things would happen for you this year does not exempt you from challenges and oppositions.
There is no TRIUMPH without TRIAL
There is no MIRACLE without OBSTACLE
God had earlier instructed Isaac not to leave where he was and He obeyed. Isaac then decided to dig a well but oppositions came up against him. The opposition was so fierce that they closed up every well he attempted to dig. But Isaac would not give up easily, he persevered until the enemies became tired of him.
God does not bless people in every place. Better put, there is a place to be for you to be blessed. It is however pitiable to know people pack their bags and travel out of their divinely appointed place only to keep struggling and patching through life without a head way.
While growing up, I have seen a few times where well diggers were at work. Well, digging is not a small thing. It is real work. In fact, there are instances where explosives or guns are used especially when the digger hit the rocks underground. God told Isaac to stay in the land, Yes. But he was not to stay idle in the land. He sowed in the land even during FAMINE and he got 100% profit. It is not just enough to be divinely located or to stay where God wants you to be, you must be actively involved in doing something profitable in the place God has asked you to stay.
Dig the well. Take the exams. Run the program. Write the test. Make the move. Do the work!
The truth is that there will always be reasons to turn back. But if you find an excuse to turn back don’t use it. When the children of Israel were faced with the Red Sea and Moses cried to God for help especially because of the Army of Egypt and chariots that was fast closing in on them. But could you believe what God’s response to Moses was- Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Exodus 14:15 (NLT) God’s word for you is the same, Get moving. Stop crying over what you cannot change.
You cannot unscramble eggs.

Growing and Harvest Seasons of Life
Friday, February 6, 2009
Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride
Ecclesiastes 7:8 (NLT)
So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.
Galatians 6:9 (NLT)
I should have finished this series last week but I got busy with some things-meetings, field audit and reading some interesting books. So, in order to quickly get done with this and talk about some other things which promises to be impactful, that's why I decided to combine the last two Seasons- Growing and Harvest Seasons of Life.
I'm just writing this with excitement and I know God has something positive in mind for the reader. Be expectant!
I also want to urge you to always drop a comment on your observations, thoughts or criticism after reading any post on this blog either by clicking on the 'Comment' link below this post or 'Contact Me' up there. It makes me know how much I connect to you.
Yes, growing and harvest seasons of our lives. Being the last in the series of Understanding of Times, let me attempt a very short recap of what we've discussed so far. We first discussed Planning and Planting Seasons of Life (you can scroll down to the previous posts). I want to share with you what to do after you have set your goals and have consciously started sowing seeds, there are certain things to do in order to experience your harvest. Just like no farmer plants and goes to sleep, so also you and I cannot just sow seeds or register for a school/ professional exam or start a relationship or start a business and then go to sleep. Those who do so do not get the required harvest, if they get any at all.
The scripture above says better is the end of a matter than the beginning. God is not just interested in you starting up something and then it giving up half way or not getting the full harvest. What are the things to do to get your desired harvest? They are in no way exhaustive but I've decided to summarize then below;
Diligence
Nothing WORKS until you WORK it. Many are simply complacent. They get contented with average living. They don't see any need to push further. Diligence is one of the most important attitude needed for growth. A child who is lazy to crawl or always wants to remain at the back of the mother may never walk. It is only the diligent hand that will bear rule. God's word says a man diligent in his business will stand before kings and not with mere men. The reason why you are moving around men with people of no repute or ordinary people is because you are not diligent! I told myself sometimes ago that I will not live an ordinary life and I gave myself up to give it all takes and the results are evident already. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. A lazy man has no future. Be consciously diligent!
Perseverance
Perseverance is another attitude needed for harvest. Diligence is hardwork but perseverance is dogged, persistent and relentless hardwork. It is a steady and continued action or belief, usually over a long period and especially despite difficulties or setbacks (Thesaurus). Every successful farmer must persevere in order to harvest. It means you keeping doing what you believe in spite of the obstacles. Even if what you planted have been uprooted, replant! Isaac dug a couple of wells and continued digging until he got to his Rehoboth. Many people keep too soon. If you've done all you know to do and you don't seem to see result, persevere- keep at it. It will speak at the end. Be tenacious!
Self discipline
When the harvest eventually comes, you need to be disciplined not to allow it to get into your head. Plenty can get into one's head. It may shock you to hear that the reason why God has not answered some people is because they will backslide if He gives them what they are praying for. God will not give you what will make Him lose you. Some people can just be very undisciplined with money- they buy at impulse, no budget, no investments, just buy what they want and not what they really need. I'm not against giving yourself a treat once in a while, but don't make God see you as a prodigal son because of what He has blessed you with. Be sensitive!
Re-sow part of the harvest
This is an interesting principle. Every fruit carries its seed within it. Orange has orange seed within it, guava, mango, yam…name it. If you decide to eat all your fruit, there will be nothing to sow again which implies no future harvest. Always plough back part of your harvest back to investment. It is crucial. Also, remember to give a tenth of it to God- this is known as tithing to acknowledge Him as the source. Don't eat all, be wise!
Give Thanks
We cannot overemphasize the need to give thanks to the God who made your seed to grow in the first place. Paul plants and Apollo waters but it is God that gives the increase. Always remember, there's a hand behind everything that is moving. Consciously remember to give Him thanks to preserve the blessings. In Malachi 2:1-2, God says that those who fail to give Him glory stand the risk of being cursed even with the blessings.
When last have you taken time to give Him quality thanks. Take some time out to sincerely thank Him for your life today.
Remember, maximize this one life you have to live. The world is waiting for what you have to offer!
You are blessed!

Planting Season of Life
Wednesday, January 28, 2009
Don’t be misled. Remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it. You will always reap what you sow.
Galatians 6:7 (NLT)
What is planting?
Planting is the process of sowing seeds. It is the process of investing (time, energy, resources) in anticipation for future harvest or rewards.
PLANTING IS TAKING RISKS FOR FUTURE RETURNS
It implies therefore, that the kind of result that we want in the future should determine the kind of seeds that we sow today.
STOP SPENDING TIME, START INVESTING TIME.
Tips to note about Planting or Sowing
It is not for now.
It requires determination and focus
It is a time of labour and diligence
It cannot be done just at anytime- It has timing
It requires patience
The seed to plant usually comes from past success
HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR PLANTING SEASON
Take responsibility for your life
Responsibility is the mark of maturity. Sowing requires taking responsibility. To be responsible means to be accountable for the outcomes of our actions. Enough of blaming our parents for probably not giving us quality education or not giving us proper moral guidance! Enough of regretting our family background or wishing we came from a more influential family or background. The reality is that we are now here, the best we can do is to take positive steps to ensure that we advance in spite of our negative circumstances.
Don’t continue giving excuses or explaining the reason why you failed!
You should not allow anyone to think for you or tell you the right thing for your life. Be responsible!
Sow the seed now
One thing about planting of seed is that it has timing. You cannot plant certain seeds at particular times of the year. Why? It has timing. So also with our lives, there are certain things we cannot do at a particular time or age. Why? It would be considered as late. Procrastination is the greatest thief of time and the fastest route to mediocrity. Avoid postponing what you can do now! Never be afraid to take risk.
DON’T EAT UP THE WHOLE OF YOUR TODAY- EAT TO LIVE, DON’T LIVE TO EAT!
Sow in faith
It is not just enough to sow at the right time, our sowing has to be done in faith. Faith says, although I can’t see the harvest yet, but I believe the seed will germinate and grow. That’s why the scripture says Paul may plant and Appolos can water the seed, but it is God that ultimately gives the increase or makes it to grow. I Corinthians 3:6
The God-factor cannot be over-emphasized. Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? He is the only one that can help you to achieve your dreams and He loves you.
Remember, whether you fail or succeed, it’s your fault! Be blessed.
